Manuscript Submission Checklist

Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that all required files have been prepared and uploaded through the journal's online submission system. Incomplete submissions may delay the peer-review process.

  • Title Page (Non-Blinded): Include the manuscript title, full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, corresponding author details (name, email, phone number, and postal address), ORCID iDs (if available), and manuscript information such as word count, number of tables, figures, and supplementary files.
  • Cover Letter: Submit a cover letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief. The letter should briefly describe the significance and novelty of the study, specify the manuscript type, confirm that the work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere, disclose any prior conference presentations or preprint postings, provide details of funding and ethical approval (where applicable), declare any conflicts of interest, outline author contributions, and confirm that all authors have read, approved, and agreed to the submission.
  • Blinded Manuscript: Upload the main manuscript containing the title, abstract, keywords, main text, acknowledgements (if permitted), references, tables, and figure legends, ensuring that all author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, and any other identifying information have been removed to facilitate double-blind peer review.
  • Figures/Images: Upload all figures as separate high-resolution files in JPEG, TIFF, PNG, or other accepted formats. Ensure that each figure is clearly labelled and cited in the manuscript.
  • Tables: Include editable tables within the manuscript file or upload them separately in an editable format (e.g., Microsoft Word or Excel). Avoid submitting tables as images.
  • Supplementary Material (if applicable): Upload any additional supporting materials, such as appendices, datasets, multimedia files, questionnaires, protocols, or supplementary figures and tables that enhance the manuscript but are not essential to the main text.
  • Reporting Guidelines Checklists (where applicable): Submit the appropriate reporting guideline checklist according to the study design, such as CONSORT for randomized clinical trials, PRISMA for systematic reviews and meta-analyses, STROBE for observational studies, CARE for case reports, ARRIVE for animal studies, or other relevant reporting standards.

Authors are encouraged to carefully review all uploaded files before final submission to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with the journal's submission requirements. Submissions that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for revision before entering the peer-review process.
